Maths
Whatever a learner's past experience of Maths, it is our aim is to build confidence and to support progress. We aim to make learning Maths an enjoyable and rewarding experience, one that has a positive impact on young people's futures.
As a team we work alongside the learner's home school or college to ensure that each individual feels connected with their peers and contiues to make progress in the context of their difficulties.
All of our learners have the opportunity to experience success despite the challenging circumstances.
Ancora House School is a registered examination centre and so learners are able to take their Maths exams whilst in hospital.
We are a team of enthusiastic subject specialists who provide targeted support to all learners no matter what their level or experience. We work with learners on a 1:1 basis, in small academic groups or as a larger ward group where we explore everyday Maths.
In the words of a former A-level learner:
"Thank you for all your help with maths and for helping me to keep up with it. I appreciate that you believed I could do it when I didn't."
